The Grillroom

The Grillroom, originally uploaded by captainjay.

We stopped at the Grillroom at Mahogany Run Golf Course the other night after looking at a condo. Wow! Great meal. You don't have to be a golfer to enjoy this place! Our tab for meals, one drink each, one dessert and tip was $64, which is about average for the nicer restaurants.

We live in Mahogany Run and don't like the Grillroom at all...bad service, small portions of mediocre food and a bunch of good old boys talking over everyone else...they chase you out at 7 or so and have no teabags except fr herbal...well, what are they making the iced tea out of??? So many better places to go for dinner !

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Ours was just the opposite of yours. We got there a little before 7pm and there were a couple tables still open. We had great service and the food was excellent. I had seafood pasta and couldn't finish it all; I had to get a to-go box. Jay had the prime rib and it was huge, he barely finished it. :-) Maybe something has changed and you should give it another try. :-)

As you know, Lawanna and I had lunch at the Grillroom during our visit, and I definetly agree with you Deb, the food was great, good portions, and the service was excellent. We had drinks at the bar after golf, and again, excellent service!

Do the condos at Mahogany Run come with golf priviledges?
